average_pilot Posted February 11, 2020 Share Posted February 11, 2020 I noticed that with strong wings, in a level turn with constant IAS the noise of the wind inside the cockpit increases and decreases as the ground speed increases and decreases (that is, as the direction of travel with respect to the wind direction changes during the turn). I'm attaching a track showing some turns with heavy winds coming from the North and no turbulence. I also noticed something weird with the tracers, so I did an extra track showing the effect in different directions and pitch angles.
