peterwinship Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 Does anyone know whether I could put a line in the autoconfig.cfg so that the FOV was limited for all my airframes, to close it down a bit, get rid of both the extreme close-up and the fish-eye? And if so, what would that line be? Thanks!
Art-J Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 I don't think it's possible, because FOVs are defined separately for each module. The only way to do it I'm aware of is enabling snapviews option in the game, then making a copy of SnapViewsDefault.lua file located in Config\View\ location, then renaming it to SnapViews.lua, then placing that renamed copy in your Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\ folder, then editing it and adjusting "FOV" parameter manually for each plane - I think the last section called "default view" might be responsible for that, though I'm not sure, it's been ages since I last did it. Check Skate's post on the subject: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3435783&postcount=3 I used this method to get rid of horrible default MiG-21 fisheye FOV introduced long ago after one of the patches and it still works fine. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
