Thanx BIGNEWY both my windows and GPU drivers are up-to-date. the fact that these crushes are not random but consistent (happen in every mission and module) and DO NOT happen in the stable version means IMHO that it's got to do with the the 2.5.6 version itself and not other factors. SB11 Hi I would agree with you, but I am unable to reproduce on my machine, it could be that the track replay just does not show it correctly as soon as I have news about the next patch I will let everyone know thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? silentbob11 Posted February 21, 2020 Author Posted February 21, 2020 (edited) Hi I would agree with you, but I am unable to reproduce on my machine, it could be that the track replay just does not show it correctly as soon as I have news about the next patch I will let everyone know thanks Thanx BIGNEWY Another super weird issue I have is when I enter a mission (SP) and hit "FLY" I enter an external view of another aircraft of the red side (MiG 29 and such) as if I an in "F2" view. When I hit the F2 key and scroll through all aircrafts till I get to see mine I see it from F2 view but I can't enter the cockpit. I am forced to look at it as if an AI is flying it. doesnt matter if I hit F1 - I am still in F2 view. Only when I hit "quit" and exit the mission, then enter it AGAIN I can start it in the cockpit. wierd or what? *EDIT* - seems that this phenomena only happens when I enter the mission editor to change weapons load end such. It doesn't happen when I enter the mission "as-is". SB11 Edited February 21, 2020 by silentbob11 CPU: intel Core i7 9700K ~ 3.6 GHZ , nVidia RTX2060 SUPER, 32GB 3300 Mhz RAM, DELL 24" LED. Windows 10
silentbob11 Posted February 21, 2020 Author Posted February 21, 2020 I sniffed a little in my crash log and found two items that maybe related to the crashes: 1. a line saying: "AmdPowerXpressRequestHighPerformance + 0xBC9D42" just before the crash I have no AMD in my computer I find it weird that DCS code "requests" it 2 another thing in my crash .dmp log : found a file called "f18c_cpt-glass_canopy.dds" could it be related? I'm reaching for straws here... SB11 CPU: intel Core i7 9700K ~ 3.6 GHZ , nVidia RTX2060 SUPER, 32GB 3300 Mhz RAM, DELL 24" LED. Windows 10

I think its great that DCS is replying with help, but do you guys not realize this is not a PC issue, this is a complete mess across the board. Servers aren't even upgrading to the latest patch and sitting at two versions ago now.
hornblower793 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 There may be lots of issues, some of which are related to individual set-ups and some of which are not. hornblower793 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 (edited) @Bignewy @SB11 I replayed the F/A-18 track with no issues for me until the end F-14 flew into the sea of the carrier deck on replay so I flew again taking control. @SB11 - I don't know what your flight plan was so I flew around for a good 20 minutes letting numerous missiles be launched at me and the wingman - there was no crash for me. Will now try the F/A-18 track again and take control just before the end to see what happens as missiles hit Edit: Have now done this and flew through happily downing all bandits Edited February 21, 2020 by hornblower793 Update Windows 11 Home ¦ Z790 AORUS Elite AX motherboard ¦ i7-13700K ¦ 64GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 memory @ 5600MHz ¦ Samsung 990 Pro 1TB SSD for OS, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB SSD for DCS ¦ MSI GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming X Trio 24GB ¦ Virpil WarBRD base with VFX grip, Thrustmaster A10c and F/A-18 grips ¦ VKB Gunfighter Mk4 and MCG Pro ¦ Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle ¦ VKB STECS Throttle ¦ Virpil TCS rotor base with Shark and AH-64D grips ¦ MFG Crosswinds ¦ Total Controls Multi-Function Button Box ¦ Pimax Crystal

silentbob11 Posted February 23, 2020 Author Posted February 23, 2020 OK - I did a total re installment of Openbeta 2.5.6 and so far no crashes... BUTT! strangely enough - getting into a flight is still a bit awkward it goes like this: 1. pick a mission (single or campaign) 2. go into mission planer - choose a loadout 3. hit fly 4. you get an outside view of a random A/C with no ability to get in your cockpit. 5. hit quit 6. do the process again - and then you WILL start normally inside your cockpit so- what goes? Buzzf18e Posted February 23, 2020 Posted February 23, 2020 (edited) My crashes are a strange one My crashes are a strange occurrence, I can get into the cockpit start engines then I start getting screen flicker of large black boxes the cover one side of the screen alternating left and right side of the screen before the game crashes. I've tried setting my graphics to low and msaa and the others to off, no affect either way. The aircraft\theater does not affect this, attached is my crash log thanks.dcs.log-20200223-205037.zip Edited February 23, 2020 by Buzzf18e
