VR Simpit Project (F-18 related)

I am working on a VR- simpit for a while now and decided to make it public in this comunity.

The idea of a VR Simpit:

In some flight conditions you might not reach switches or buttins by mouse click.

Especially in multiplayer missions where you want to stay in formation while entering target or waypoint coordinates...

I wanted to have it more realistic and more comfortable with less necessary mouse inputs.

And I wanted realize a DIY project and here I am.

 

 

The frame is made of aluminum t-chanel profiles.

On the 3D pictures you will miss the 90° connectors and the adjustable "angle connectors".

Also the seat is not displayed.

Really like the look of it, I'm doing a similar build, aluminium extensions are great for simpits!

How much did you spend for the frame itself and connector bits ?

For the aluminum rails i need around 14 meters total, thats approximately 380€.

For the different connectors i spent another 270€.

 

The wooden Keyboard and bottom plate are arounfd 50€.

 

So all together is around 700 to 800€ (880 USD)

 

Not included in this cost esimation are:

The seat

Sticks and throttle

the UFC and all other input devices.
