AG-51_Sabot Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 (edited) AG-51 has been around since 2003. Members initially flew as JG-51 in the European IL2 Forgotten Battles arena, and then transitioned to the Pacific Theater as AG-51 with the release of IL2 Pacific Fighters. In the Spring of 2013, AG-51 transitioned into the DCS platform with the release of the P-51 Mustang. Over the last 10 years we have flown many airframes, but our primary goal was to return to Carrier Operations. Our Membership is open to mature individuals at least 21 years of age. Our members are in many time zones. Our dedicated flight times begin at 6:00 PM PST (0200 UTC) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Tuesday Nights are considered a “Fun Night” used to fly whatever airframe you own. There is no formal training unless a SME is requested. Thursdays Nights are considered Squadron nights to practice upcoming mission assignments (weapon employment, tanking, etc.,) in your dedicated Airframe assigned. Saturday Nights are CAG-51 Mission nights with the whole group participating in a dedicated mission built by one of our mission builders. DCS CAG-51 Flight Requirements: · Members must have a legal copy of their primary Airframe they plan on flying during Thursday and Saturday nights · Own the following Terrains – Persian Gulf, Syria, and South Atlantic. · Own the Supercarrier Module · Own the DCS’ WW II Asset Pack · Installed Simple Radio Standalone (SRS) - Freeware F-18 Flights are currently - Closed F-16 Flight are currently - Open AH-60 Flights are currently - Open If you are interested in becoming a part of CAG-51, please contact us at https://www.cag-51.org/contact Edited April 19, 2023 by AG-51_Sabot "There is an art … to flying. Sparky1b09 Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 (edited) I started flying with these guys almost 2 years ago now. AG-51 has changed how I enjoy DCS. When I started I only flew the SU-25t and I couldn’t even land it half the time. They took me under their wings and taught me so much in a friendly and unjudgemental way. We like our members to attend as many of our squad nights as they can but we understand that real life comes first and there are no attendance requirements. We have some really talented mission builders so we always have new missions to fly. So if you’re looking for an easy going squad to fly with, where having fun is the top priority, AG-51 is a good group to fly with. Some groups say they won’t make fun of you if you make a boo boo, that’s not us. If you do something goofy we will make fun of you. I know, I because I goof up a lot. But we always have a great time flying. Come fly with us for a night or two and if you like what you see then you decide if we’re what you’re looking for. All skill levels are welcome, from total beginners to seasoned veterans. Edited March 3, 2020 by Sparky1b09
AG-51_Razor Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 We make fun of each other all the time, whether goofing up or not!! :megalol: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

=Mac= Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 As the saying goes, "Fill your boots!" The Hornet is an awesome beast. You're gonna love it! The pic is from a couple nights ago. The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...
AG-51_Endo Posted November 25, 2021 Posted November 25, 2021 Started flying with this group and it’s taken to the sim to a whole new level, just awesome and lots of activity to get involved in. Fun group too and understanding when I overshoot and can’t manage to hold formation. At the rate I’m learning with these guys I don’t think that’ll plague me for long. Also love that flights are friendly timing for the west coast.
_Hoss Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Well, Razor is West Coast and you know he's getting a bit little long in the tooth. Certain times of day he gets a kitchen pass ..and his Geritol....so he's ready to fly, which works out for us left coasters. Sempre Fortis
=Mac= Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Where is Hoss from? And please don't say the Ponderosa. The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground.
