six.dof Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 I was wondering, could ED give out over software the value of the stick force and the direction ? As all flight models are calculated in real-time, and estimated that the stick deflection and force is known for each state, would it be not awesome if there would be some output that could be used to build Sticks, that be close to the real thing, as they are very active part in the feedback of the plane.
AeriaGloria Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 You might want to try the stick by FoxHlundCN, they are in China also and will start selling there. A lot of people either make do with the Sidewinder 2 FFB or some people put together to make one large really powerful stick Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
RustBelt Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Talks through DirectX so it's all standard outputs. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/desktop/ee417563(v=vs.85))
Ranma13 Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 All the necessary data already exists in the currently-available lua functions, and in fact it's what the Brunner CLS-E uses to provide shaking effects and change the centering force strength as airspeed changes.
six.dof Posted March 2, 2020 Author Posted March 2, 2020 actually I don’t mean shake and rappelling like fire the guns or fake turbulence, I mean accurate simulation of Stick deflection, like MIG29, is nearly impossible to fly on the limits as the limiter is an essential part of the flight control system, like in many Aircraft Is there an official ED document on the LUA outputs for each Airframe? Could someone share a link please.
AeriaGloria Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Yeah implementation of the limiter there would be nice. I always assumed it was hand waved away because of low power sticks but with brushless motors these days and patents expired maybe there is still hope for the future Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
RustBelt Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 There's also the part where it's a FC3 low fidelity plane that's almost 10 years old. the F-5 simulates the roll limiter in the stick
