Need help - how to set start time for a SP mission??

I’m going crazy.... I’m trying to build a basic night bombing mission for practice and set the first leg of the waypoint editor time (Hot start from ramp) as 1900 and then added the waypoints from there. I also set all the targets to spawn at 1900 at well. But when I go to FLY the mission, it says Mission delayed for start time. I think it seems to be starting at the default 0800 time.

I also set the time on the weather page as 1900 and the mission briefing says the start time is 1900, but I still get the delay start. The date on the weather page also says 21 June 2016. Do I need to set it to the current date??

This is making me pull my hair out. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. TIA!

Go to the top left weather tab wit the cloud icon.

Start time used to be in the briefing section and changed to weather some time ago

I did that. It’s still starting me with a delay.

If you haven’t changed the waypoint time since you changed the weather time take a look. The weather time updates all waypoints, so it probably changed it to have the same hour difference it had before, make sure both are set for say 1900

I checked that too. The first time I changed the time on the weather page, it did change the waypoint times to 0600. So I changed them all back to 1900 from the start point. It still showed a delayed start when I went into the mission. I wonder if the date is affecting it. I'm obviously doing something wrong, but I'm tearing my hair out trying to figure out what it is.

Best solution, post your mission here so we can have a look at what might be wrong in it.

Might be that in the starting waypoint time of the units used, the day is set in the future. ie 19:00.00/1 (The last digit is the day to start 0=straight away, Greater than 0=days in the future to start unit)

Regards, Ian.

Ahhhh, I think that's exactly the problem. I recall seeing the 19:00.00/1, so that would explain it. How do I set it to the current day? As I said before, the date in the weather window is set to some arbitrary date in June of 2016.

When I can get to my gaming computer, I'll post the mission. Thanks.

Just change the 19:00.00/1 to 19:00.00/0 instead this means that it will run on the current day as specified in the weather window and not a day later.

It is a throw back to the old version of DCS, when you had to use this to make AI Units late start and then be activated by a trigger later on in the mission.

Any figure bigger than 0 in the last part of the time field (Day offset) will delay by that many days or until a trigger activate command is issued (Not what you want for a player controlled Unit).
