71st_Mastiff Posted March 20, 2020 Share Posted March 20, 2020 When flying over the damaged models with fire still burning, the view distance is only seen outside peripheral of FOV in the Rift CV1, i.e. when you look directly at the fire burning at the model its not in view when you look away it's seen. Make sense? I would have to make a picture through my iphone to show this.. Seems lighting LOD is linked to distance from lens center in addition to how far away from the object you are, so when you look off center at an lit object it appears from a longer distance away.
