figer Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Should the button on the keyboard "B" that is responsible for SPD BRK Switch - OFF - trigger any action related to the air brake? I thought it caused the unfolded air brake to fold - but pressing the B button doesn't cause anything?!? An error or my misunderstanding?
mkiii Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 "Off" doesn't mean retract, it means "stop opening/closing". It is the neutral position of the 3 position HOTAS Switch. I can't see why it even has a keystroke assigned, since just not pressing Open or Close = OFF.
LeCuvier Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 (edited) ...I can't see why it even has a keystroke assigned, since just not pressing Open or Close = OFF. That's true for the "Extend" only. If you hit Ctrl + B just shortly, the speedbrake will retract all the way. You use the "B" if you want to halt the "Retract" movement. This allows you to keep the speedbrake partially extended. PS: Excactly the same in the Hornet.
