Zapp Brannigan Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Hi ED-Team, i would like to have a Agm-158(WDU-42B) in the future. May u got informed that is used by the Airforce but i have to admit that there are many other military user. Thank you for your Attention
Swift. Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 If you can find evidence of JASSM being used by USN/USMC hornets in mid 2000s then by all means send it to ED or post it here. Until you can produce that evidence then we wont be getting JASSM because as you said, it was used by USAF and not by USN hornets. 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
Bunny Clark Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 It looks like the AGM-158 is used by Australian and Finnish Hornets, and on US Navy Super Hornets, but it doesn't look like the USN or USMC ever deployed it on the legacy Hornet. Zapp Brannigan Posted March 30, 2020 Author Posted March 30, 2020 I've got no evidence but an wikipedia article which teils that there is a c/d Version could use a JSSSAM. Just take a look below Specifications F/A 18 C/D https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonnell_Douglas_F/A-18_Hornet
Swift. Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGM-158_JASSM And if you look here you will see: 'It completed testing and entered service with the U.S. Air Force in 2009, and has entered foreign service in Australia, Finland, and Poland as of 2014.' So even if ED were to model foreign hornets, which they aren't, then it is way out of the timeframe. It's never going to happen, just sit tight and we will get SLAM-ER which will satisfy your obsession with cruise missiles. 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
