Moving around with arrow keys

quick q: is there a way to move the camera around outside with the arrow keys? i like to go onto the tarmac with the alt+f11 view and wander around and look at the planes up close and personal. sometimes ill add many planes and its basically an airshow. however moving currently is very difficult.

 

 

only way i have figured it out so far is by rolling the mouse wheel which sets you off on perpetual 1-way motion and doesn't allow for finesse or side to side movement. not very good for wandering around and looking at things.

 

 

in xplane, for example, you can use the arrow keys to move around like you'd imagine it'd be if it was intuitive. i was seeing if something similar to that is available?

Have you tried ejecting? You would have to "aim" in order to not land too far away from the tarmac, but then you can move around controlling the pilot with pitch and rudder controls

that is one way to do it. however i usually prefer to walk around, and then actually fly the plane :music_whistling:

Ctrl+ F11 to Enter into Free Cam mode

?-- or is it Alt+ F11 - I might have changed my binds there

 

CONTROLS:

 

Move Mouse to point camera

Mouse wheel = move forwards/backwards incrementally

 

Numpad / = move backwards

Numpad * = move forwards

Right Shift + Numpad / = move backwards faster

Right Shift + Numpad * = move forwards faster

 

 

F11 - Re-enter last Free cam mode position.

Left Ctrl + F10 = Move to Map view at current free cam position
