philstyle Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 I've notice a few times now that a "destroyed" Anton can fall out of he sky tail-first, without flipping over into an engine-first dive. Might this be indicative of a CoG which is close to the rear of the aircraft? It just seems odd that the aircraft will not right itself and dive engine first, even though it is damaged . . grafspee Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Weird indeed. It should drop nose no matter the damage, unless it enters flat spin. System specs: I7 14700KF, Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite, 64GB DDR4 3600MHz, Gigabyte RTX 4090,Win 11, 48" OLED LG TV + 42" LG LED monitor
Cunctator Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 As far as I know DCS turns off any detailed FM calculations as soon as an aircraft is counted as destroyed. Hence all kind of weird maneuvers can happen.
grafspee Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 (edited) So, conditions for death count must be adjusted then. I also have seen weird falling planes, kinda its breaking overall image. Like bf 109 falling down without one wing but still falling just plain flat. Game just ignored missing wing.
