F10 map-->F1 cockpit = sky redraw + Steam VR crash

Any time I switch from the map view back to the cockpit, the sky redraws and the lighting/shadows get all weird. I have to go to F2 view and look around a bit before the lighting and shadows go back to normal, and if I go back and forth between the map view and the cockpit view a couple times in a row, SteamVR will crash. DCS itself doesn't, but SteamVR does.
