Doofie Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Hello, I'm unable to get my thrust to move, either by device input (Warthog throttle) or keyboard. It works fine offline but when I join multiplayer then I can't move it no matter what I do. It was working online yesterday without any issue. Is there a known bug? Am I missing something? Thanks.
Puma Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Thats odd. Try show controls (rctrl enter) to see if its a control issue between joystick and dcs, or a sim issue between dcs and aircraft. Check control bindings after joining server and see if joystick is responsive in that ui? Ive seen some servers disable some things in an attempt to prevent cheating which can make things behave differently. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted April 11, 2020 ED Team Posted April 11, 2020 Make sure you are not using game avionics and flight model in your settings. Most multiplayer servers do not allow game settings, if that is the case it will force you to use sim controls. Thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Doofie Posted April 12, 2020 Author Posted April 12, 2020 So I fiddled around with my settings for a while and didn't get anywhere. I went into the options and selected "sim mode" for the game and only the label options changed. While in the cockpit I reset my settings for the throttle axis and moved it about a bit and then it sprung into life. I've no idea what actually fixed it but it's now working. In short: I've no idea what was causing it or what fixed it. Hope this helps.
Doofie Posted April 12, 2020 Author Posted April 12, 2020 SOLUTION So it seems you need I need to put my throttle in the off position (not idle; idle then lift and pull back), full throttle, then back to off again. This is a new behaviour to me. I've not had to do this previously. Odd.
Puma Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 That is a known issue for a long time but I agree with you I observe it intermittently.
