Since we're dealing with a lot of desync from time to time with new patches, could we possibly get the ability to set Player Clients to Immortal as we can with AI units?

 

 

The HOST/Player client can become immortal, but this does not work with other player clients, and has been known for some time that it is not meant for clients.

 

 

The use case is to set players at airfields and carriers to be immortal to avoid destruction when warping occurs or to deter trolls from shooting or ramming friendlies.

I only want immortal for certain aircraft when in certain zones to mitigate collisions that are caused by server lag/desync, this is not possible due to immortal only working for host and ai units, not clients.

 

 

Using the force on immortal option is for all player aircraft and cannot be changed during the mission.

What can set in advanced waypoint actions ("immortal(on/off)")

can set by trigger AI_TASK_PUSH, elements what can be used by those method need to be listed in rearming views third icon/tab

Need to set for each individual clients. Optionally with moving zone attach to Stennis.

immortal in DCS is bleeding

 

See "AIRPLANE GROUP" window "TRIGGERED ACTIONS" tab

 

For hornet:

you taking damage under immortal that is bad, but you taking damage for gears

after you fly out from invulnerable zone: you immediately blow up

 

Su33 can not be immortal to collisions too.

 

Su-25T can froze DCS only screenshot functionality working, when crashing with AI and fall to ground.

Thank you for the information and files here,

 

 

I'll give something a test on my end but note that my team and I aim to only do these things via script and we had "set immortal on" working via script on the carrier moving zone.

 

 

Additionally, the workload is only worth it to us if the desync continues to be an issue and in the current patch carriers have a huge problem that cause server crashes, so we're not even using carriers at the moment.

 

 

For now, I'll just do some tests with my team with the mission editor advanced waypoint options and push task. -- If all is okay i'll see what our options are and if it's worth our time if desync and carrier issues are still a problem.
