tjcoops Posted January 4, 2008 Author Posted January 4, 2008 Ram: 4GB Graphics: Motherboard 256mb OS: Vista (Home P) CPU: core 2 duo 1.73ghz And i'm running the latest version of lock-on
Boberro Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 I don't think so Lock on will run on integrated card... Sorry but it won't run IMO. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
golfsierra2 Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 I don't think so Lock on will run on integrated card... Sorry but it won't run IMO. I second that. Onboard graphics will seldom meet the requirements for Lock-On. Have this checked: - Is the graphics chip using shared memory (from the mainboard) ? - Is the graphics chip compatible to DirectX 8.1 or later ? Should be listed in your laptop's manual. You could give it one more try with running Lock-On at the lowest graphics settings possible (select under Options/Graphics) and a low screen resolution (1024 x 768 or even lower). If your machine then still shows a black display, it's simply not working on it. Get yourself a PC instead. kind regards, Raven.... G3 Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 yes, sounds like onboard video with shared memory. looks like a reasonably modern system, are we talking laptop or tower pc? does the computer have a videocard slot, such as pci-e or agp ? if so you might be able to disable the onboard video and buy a better card, like a nice new 8800gt. if its a laptop then maybe a modified driver depending on chipset. check your system specs, for what model videocard, eg:7300gs or similar. does it play other games with no problems. i have played lockon on a laptop with a lot lower specs than this, don't give up just yet. more info please.
