I have been having an issue with stuttering when flying online or in single mode since January/February time frame. This is with the release and beta version. I do not see an issue with other simulators such as BMS or Arma III. My system specs are: i9-9900K CPU, RTX 2080 Ti, and 32 G ram. I have tested my RAM and hard drive with no faults. I have tried loading previous versions of the drivers for the RTX 2080 video card back to December release of 411.xx. I have disabled the V sync as well with the same stuttering occurring. As of yesterday 4/18 I uninstalled DCS and then downloaded only the release version and the stuttering is still occurring.

Tech support for EDS had said "It looks like packet loss between server and your your computer". Not sure what this means, even when I am flying in single mode there should be no server unless the software is running a local server for the simulator to work.

Any ideas? :helpsmilie:

Hello,

If not already done on your install,

you should find in forum about :

- clean fxo and metshader ( run mission on each terrains to force recompile )

- disable hot plug device

- disable replay tacking

- disable windows game recording

- reduce windows process in background

Can you post your logs perhaps? Do you have an SSD or HDD?? there have been alot of reports about bad performance in DCS of late.. your system should be good enough maybe it is configured wrong or similar?

Showboat, do you have XMP Profile for memory enabled, are you Overclocking the CPU.. you should have gotten a m.2 Drive.. is the video card in PCIe #1 slot? Also what is your Memory usage in DCS, How is your Pagefile..

Nephilim, The XMP is off, I am not over clocking the CPU, the video card is in PCIe slot 1, and the pagefile is set to run Automatically on my C drive. Not sure about what is Mommeory usage in DCS? You must be talking about how much memory is being used in DCS. I will have to find that out.

Well DCS Likes an Overclocked CPU and turn the XMP PRofile to on it should run at a faster speed which will be good.. you are not getting max performance with your PC..

And yes I ment the Memory.. see how much pagefile DCS USes and adjust accordingly.. do you have the nVidia set Power managment = Max performance in NCP?

Seems like there's some extra stuttering, I just installed a few more modules, I love the JF-17 what a great mix of logic and great stuff packed to one smal tiny-enginer ... a fast mission of ground rockets ... I had stutters for like no reason at all and there wasn't much of disk activity either, but this is life, we'll get there eventually :)

Modules: A-10C I/II, F/A-18C, Mig-21Bis, M-2000C, AJS-37, Spitfire LF Mk. IX, P-47, FC3, SC, CA, WW2AP, CE2. Terrains: NTTR, Normandy, Persian Gulf, Syria

Same, it's absolutely obnoxious.

Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!
