gavagai Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 I successfully rolled back to the release to fly on a specific server. However, now I am always prompted to update to the open beta. Any additional secrets to type into the dos prompt? I'm considering 2 installs because I have the space on my SSDs, but it would be nice not to be constantly prompted to update to beta. HiJack Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 Create a shortcut to dcs.exe directly and it will not ask you to update.
gavagai Posted April 20, 2020 Author Posted April 20, 2020 Fair enough. But I remember that if you install the "release" it only asks you to update to the latest release. No? HiJack Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 Yes. You can remove the text file in DCS root folder that provide the open beta string. Don’t remember the name of the file right now but it only includes the openbeta word.
gavagai Posted April 20, 2020 Author Posted April 20, 2020 (edited) Perfect. Thanks. ------------------ for anyone else who reads this (some day), the file is called "autoupdate." Change 'openbeta' to 'release.'
