Out of the blue I started getting shader compile errors (see attachment 1) when trying to load a map. I then proceeded to repair and upon startup DCS would just crash with a DX11 renderer error (see attachment 2). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tried posting in the discord but received no answer.

It's hard to say who's at fault, but it's one of the three: driver, dx11 on your PC, the game.

MS might have changed something with DX on the latest Win10 version and the driver doesn't support it.

MS might have changed something with DX on the latest Win10 version and the driver does support it, but the game doesn't support it.

Stuff like that, if you recently updated GPU driver, reinstall an older one, about Windows 10 updates I have no clue since I don't do updates at all (and if I do I use WSUS-Offline)

Modules: A-10C I/II, F/A-18C, Mig-21Bis, M-2000C, AJS-37, Spitfire LF Mk. IX, P-47, FC3, SC, CA, WW2AP, CE2. Terrains: NTTR, Normandy, Persian Gulf, Syria

Yeah I thought about that but nothing has updated or changed since I last was on DCS. So this leaves me even more confused since it is completely unplayable now :/

Hi

Are you using a vr shader mod?

If so remove and run a cleanup and repair or verify for steam users.

No shaders no VR mods and running OB standalone. so none of the above apply. Have tried numerous repairs. The trend leading up to it was multiple integrity check violations from DCS files culminating in this series of crashes first in loading a map and then when loading DCS at all.

It is a strange one.

try manually deleting the file

Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bazar\shaders\enlight\sun.fx

then run a cleanup and repair again.

Long shot, check antivirus is not creating a problem

thanks

Yeah tried deleting and cleanup/repair on that as well. Also no antivirus involvement.
