Airhunter Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Again, I want SME input and not some random images from the internet that dont specify the engine (RWR and instruments did get changed later on in the A's). Here's an example of the proper F110-GE-400 engine instruments.
Uxi Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 (edited) Yes you can https://i.imgur.com/X4HpMJI.png I've also seen an F-14B NATOPS that shows the exact instruments we have now in DCS. The asymmetry of the F-14D bugs me lol. Would have preferred just left the VDI and HSD and put MFDs on either side. Or did 3 or 4 MFD (similar to F-22). Those blank spots where the HSD was could have either taken the rest of the analog gauges (though if they kept the same size MFD there'd be room between if they did 3 in a row on top), though the 4 MFD would have been the nicest. I really wish we would have gotten the F-14B Upgrade to be more distinct from the F-14A, as well as having a more modern HUD. Sublimearrepentido Posted May 9, 2020 Author Posted May 9, 2020 The F14D cockpit I have a hunch from the aesthetivs was designed totally from pilot input. It looks like no fux were given for aesthetic - "I want my screens in my FACE, where else?!"
Sublimearrepentido Posted May 9, 2020 Author Posted May 9, 2020 No Im talking about in the pic look at the area where our engine gauges are for the G14B It has that matte black 90s digital screen color much like the hornet engine instruments background color is. I def wasnt looking at the D or B(U)
