Mingusthered Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Have steam version, opted in for the latest beta version as i understand thats where most of the multiplayer action is at. ( I only Use VR as well) My question is how can you tell if you are on the beta servers list? Is there eally alot of folks there? I am specifically looking to do WW2 stuff ( 109 k) and yet after days of looking I only found one ww2 server on the list with maybe one or two other guys on it. IS this just how it is for WW2 stuff? Or am i in the wrong place? Thanks guys.
71st_AH Rob Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 You will need to opt into the beta on steam in the same manner as other games. Then you will be able to only see those server which also use open beta.
122sqn Bruv Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 The three most populated WW2 servers are LFDM, Storm of War and Buddyspike Normandy. If none of these are in your list then you are not in the right place. Peak hours are anything from around 5pm until midnight GMT.
Shahdoh Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 (edited) There really is no "Open Beta" server list versus "Release" server list. It is all by which version number either is on and if they are compatible with each other. IF/WHEN they are on the same version, OB and RELEASE clients will all see all of the servers and can fly together, but only when on compatible versions. Usually, OB is on its own advanced, non-compatible version, so only OB clients will see OB servers and vice versa. So what you really want to pay attention to is what version number of DCS you are on. Your server list will reflect as much. Edited May 3, 2020 by Shahdoh
