AstonMartinDBS Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 In the current OB 2.5.6 trees are within the FARP - and even in the Huey - where the mission starts (see screenshots). The unrealistic lighting is a known bug I guess... 3Star Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 (edited) At least you have trees. I had them until yesterday. Then, for some reason, and I've no idea what I did, they vanished. I must assume that they are related to being the light green color in the map. Note that trees in the distance (Presumably dark green) are showing. No obvious lack of trees on the UN campaign so far, I'm really only noticing it on the Elbrus FARP. I'm open to suggestions on how to get 'em back. Unless they were micropatched away to deal with your problem, I guess. That said, I'm running 2.5.5.4371, not the OB. Edited May 18, 2020 by 3Star

Yes the trees where patched to clear trees around the FARP (They will appear lighter in color to show the zone that has removed them) as it wasn't possible to find a suitable spot to move it to and there is a convoy that needs to get to the FARP as well that might not if the trees are still there, both the FARP and the other zone clearing trees should remove any trees were the are placed but DCS is notorious for it not initializing those commands on mission start at random. You may remove the Clear Trees -> FARP zone by changing the first trigger in the triggers lists, list light colored trees you show look way to large for the clear zones used in the correction. Happens most when mission is run more than once and or is modified with ME and re run, only solution under these conditions to fix it, is to shut down DCS completely and run mission straight away, and it will most likely remove the trees correctly. The unrealistic lighting is a known bug I guess... OB 2.5.6 has introduces so many issues in general that ares breaking heaps of missions, this is some of them, will only be fixed when the ED team fix the DCS engine, there is no ME work arounds for it. Bug seems to be fixed. But it looks like in 3Star's first screenshot now (no trees far and wide). Is that Intended? Snappy Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 (edited) Hmm, the trees are there again. Also despite an awesome landing , inching in between the trees , nothing happens after I brought back the first group. Not sure, how this is supposed to go. Kind of bad, that missions constantly seem to break with updates.. Regards, Snappy Edited November 20, 2021 by Snappy

Just tested and no trees here (runnin' current OB, 2.7.8.16140). Maybe the occurrence of the issue depends on whether the DCS session has been going on for a long time or the mission is started immediately after loading DCS. I tested right now immideiately after DCS launch. Still even if it was due to this, this certainly isn’t optimal.. 1
