I have only tried this a few times but it feels like in the hornet I almost have to point the nose straight at the ground to see the impact reticle. In other aircraft you can come in at a dive and eventually the marker will slide into view and you can pickle ordinance and then pull out but with the hornet I feel like I have point almost straight down to use CCIP am I missing a step? Any pointers? Thanks for your time stay safe.

What weapons are you using? Sounds like you might be using high drag bombs? Maybe nab a screenshot of this so someone can see your dive profile along with HUD and settings on stores page.

The training mission will help you with this. The idea is to keep your dive attitude constant. Put the delay que on target. When the que changes to an X pickle away. It’s not like auto bombing in the Hornet or CCIP in the Viper. You don’t hold the pickle as a consent to release then the computer drops. Instead when the X appears you then to hit the button.

Yeah I drop CCIP Rockeyes all the time and of course you must dive to do CCIP but I never have to point it straight down as you said a few times. More like 30-40 degrees of dive all depending on air speed and altitude. Going to go with Darcwaynard on this one since you didn't state what you are dropping and guess those are high drags.

Another possibility is failure to set up EFUZ and MFUZ and possibly VT correctly depending on weapon type. Check to make sure you don't have DUD in the HUD or an X through the weapon type.
