VMFA117_Poko Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I have downloaded and installed the newest drivers for Saitek x52 and newest SST profiler but it doesn't work with my flight controller (it's not PRO version). Earlier when I had restarted Windows I saw 'x52 throttle' icon in tray. Now I get 'Cyborg joystick' icon. I can't open the editor and when I try to load up earlier made profile throught the tray icon I get a message: profile.dat does not contain a profile for this device. The device has not been profiled. I can not install previous drivers and SST unfortunatelly. It's just no go. Anyone could help please? I've got still Win XP 32bit SP2. Drivers version 6.0.4.1 and it sais 'software is not present'
bengo Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Might be best to have a look at the Saitek site. They have a forum where you can get help for your problem. i7 6700k/GTX1070-8G/MSI-Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon/32GB DDR4 Kingston HyperX PREDATOR DDR4 3000MHZ Vengeance 1600/TM Warthog #6106/Samsung SB350_S27B350H/OCZ Agility3 SSD 128GB / Win10-64/TIR5
VMFA117_Poko Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 In there I found that I need to install newest SST software if I want to use newest drivers but it doesn't work. I'll try to uninstall device in Windows security mode and uninstall all software when I get home today. Then restart OS and I'll try to install older drivers again and older SST. Maybe this will help...
thereminqblank Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I always use the drivers found on this page in the Saitek Forums: http://www.saitekforum.com/showthread.php?t=11552 Rudder and joystick drivers can be found in the list. SST software found at the bottom of the list. The other thing is: I was getting that same message you got when, for example, trying to load a joystick profile on the Saitek rudder icon in the taskbar. Not saying you are doing something similar, but just in case.... 1 "Unholy Roller" [sIGPIC]http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/images/userbars/A-10C_UserBar_01.gif[/sIGPIC]

TorwaK Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Hi mate, did you check lastest version of X52 drivers and STT program? ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/beta/Saitek_X52_Flight_Controller_SD6_32_beta2.exe ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/beta/Saitek_SST_Software_32_beta2.exe [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel Core i7-6700K, @5GHz | Asus Maximus Hero VIII | 2 x eVGA GTX 970 SLI | Kingston Predator 16GB DDR4-3000Mhz | 2 x Samsung 850 PRO 240GB RAID-0 | AOC G2460PG G-SYNC LCD | OCULUS RIFT CV1 VR | THRUSTMASTER HOTAS WARTHOG | CH PRO PEDALS
VMFA117_Poko Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 beta2? I think I didn't. Does it work with standard x52 for sure?
TorwaK Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 it works like a charm and it's the latest version of Saitek software. I use it at home with my X52 Pro for 6 months. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel Core i7-6700K, @5GHz | Asus Maximus Hero VIII | 2 x eVGA GTX 970 SLI | Kingston Predator 16GB DDR4-3000Mhz | 2 x Samsung 850 PRO 240GB RAID-0 | AOC G2460PG G-SYNC LCD | OCULUS RIFT CV1 VR | THRUSTMASTER HOTAS WARTHOG | CH PRO PEDALS
VMFA117_Poko Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 Thanks mate. But You've got PRO version. Anyone can confirm it works with standard x52?
thereminqblank Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I think those are the same files that I pointed you to Poko. I just thought of this. If you're trying to reinstall your drivers and the old software won't remove, there are some registry entries that may need to be deleted before reinstalling the software. Here is a link for the list: http://www.saitekforum.com/showthread.php?t=11104 I personally have NEVER found these entries after uninstalling the Saitek software, but if they are present on your system, you may need to delete them. thereminqblank Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Thanks mate. But You've got PRO version. Anyone can confirm it works with standard x52? Look on the page I showed you. Two up from the Pro drivers is the standard X52 driver, and it is the SD6 beta 2 driver. "Unholy Roller" [sIGPIC]http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/images/userbars/A-10C_UserBar_01.gif[/sIGPIC]
VMFA117_Poko Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 Yeah indeed. I'll check this when I get home. I will erase those registry entries too - It should help. Thank You very much. All of You :)
thereminqblank Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 No worries at all. The Saitek software can work in mysterious ways :P "Unholy Roller" [sIGPIC]http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/images/userbars/A-10C_UserBar_01.gif[/sIGPIC]
TorwaK Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Thanks mate. But You've got PRO version. Anyone can confirm it works with standard x52? Buddy if you have X52 "Pro" you must download this one ;) However you have normal X52 so just download the link which I gave you first. ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/beta/Saitek_X52Pro_Flight_Controller_SD6_32_beta2.exe You can check all software from here. ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/beta/ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel Core i7-6700K, @5GHz | Asus Maximus Hero VIII | 2 x eVGA GTX 970 SLI | Kingston Predator 16GB DDR4-3000Mhz | 2 x Samsung 850 PRO 240GB RAID-0 | AOC G2460PG G-SYNC LCD | OCULUS RIFT CV1 VR | THRUSTMASTER HOTAS WARTHOG | CH PRO PEDALS
VMFA117_Poko Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 It works :D I didn't even have to erase entries in reg. I just installed beta2 drivers and SST for x52. Thanks again baddies.
thereminqblank Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Glad to hear it. :joystick: "Unholy Roller" [sIGPIC]http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/images/userbars/A-10C_UserBar_01.gif[/sIGPIC]
VMFA117_Poko Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 One more thing. The new profiler is so much better than I used. Just WOW! At last I can change MODE in LockOn with changing MODE in x52. WOW! This is waaay better profiler.

emenance Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Is it true that the newest drivers DO NOT use .dat profiles but require .pro profiles for the old x52 and new x52 pro ???????????? thereminqblank Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 That's correct. You will need to rebuild your profiles from scratch. "Unholy Roller" [sIGPIC]http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/images/userbars/A-10C_UserBar_01.gif[/sIGPIC]
VMFA117_Poko Posted January 24, 2008 Author Posted January 24, 2008 Yes but newest profile is simple to edit imho than previous. You see all modes at once in a table even that you get many more option. You can assign key to the clutch button without messing in win registry. New profile took me 15min preparation.
TorwaK Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Is it true that the newest drivers DO NOT use .dat profiles but require .pro profiles for the old x52 and new x52 pro ???????????? yes because new version Saitek programs compatible with Vista and have better design for programming to joysticks etc. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel Core i7-6700K, @5GHz | Asus Maximus Hero VIII | 2 x eVGA GTX 970 SLI | Kingston Predator 16GB DDR4-3000Mhz | 2 x Samsung 850 PRO 240GB RAID-0 | AOC G2460PG G-SYNC LCD | OCULUS RIFT CV1 VR | THRUSTMASTER HOTAS WARTHOG | CH PRO PEDALS
emenance Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Do you guys trust the new saietek software? I dont at all trust or think its worth messing around with, I base that on current new owners and feedback I have seen from old users. Theres too much negatives out thier about this company and thier stuff. Its been along time a product or company has pissed me off so much as they have. I can sit here and think Im totally to blame for not being up on the latest changes but I can assure I did enough work this time to at least provide a fair and working senario for Saitek in the last week and in the last several months. My decision is JUSTIFIED. Asus P8Z68-V GEN3/ 2500k 4.4ghz / Corsair 64gb SSD Cache / Corsair 8g 1600 ddr3 / 2 x 320gb RE3 Raid 0 /Corsair 950w/ Zotac 560TI AMP 1gb / Zalman GS1200 case /G940/
