MadCat1381 Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 As the title says. I wonder if the pylon integrated dispenser system is used by the Block50 USAF Viper. I've seen some pictures and videos, but it's hard to say, if these are Block 50s. I know there are some very knowledgable guys around. Maybe someone knows this. An if they are used by our Viper model, maybe we'll get them at some point. You can never have enought expandables, right? ;)

mvsgas Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 As the title says. I wonder if the pylon integrated dispenser system is used by the Block50 USAF Viper. I've seen some pictures and videos, but it's hard to say, if these are Block 50s. USAF F-16C block 50 have not used PIDF yet AFAIK, definitely not circa 2007 which is suppose to be the year of the DCS F-16. Currently, some F-16A (i.e. RDAF, Belgian Air component, RNLAF, etc) and USAF F-16C block 30 form the ANG/USAF reserve are using PIDS. This F-16 versions only have two internal chaff/flare dispensers so they need the additional ones provided by this systems. Block 40 and above and many Israeli F-16 have additional dispensers so PIDS is not used. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
MadCat1381 Posted May 22, 2020 Author Posted May 22, 2020 How unfortunate... but if it is so IRL I'm fine with not having it. Thanks guys.
