Hi, I updated as usual, when I clicked on the install button, the sim crashes. Tried this 3 times.

However, when I look in the missions, I see supercarrier missions, and can enter the missions and the boat is there. The carrier cold start and launch missions starts me airborne just in front of the carrier though.

Strangely, the module manager still says it’s ready to install and I see no icon in my modules list across the bottom of the GUI......

Not sure how it installed, as the sim crashed immediately I pressed the button, so surely has had no time to download and complete the install process?

Thanks

Edit: also, just tried the case 1 mission, whenever I contact the carrier, it says “you are not authorised to land”. If I try, despite a good approach, I can’t hook a wire, I watched on the track, the hook appears to pass right through the wires without being picked up?

Thanks Patrick, I don’t have antivirus and every other module has always downloaded and installed ok, including several very recently during the free try month......

Why would this start being an issue now I wonder?

Did you resolve the issue?

Hi, I copied this from Jasons thread with same issues in case you missed it:

Do you need my log as well? I tried uploading using the advanced screen but it gives me error, invalid file, when I try and upload the log.

Not Supercarrier but i had to turn off App Protection in Windows Security to get one ED module to install. I seem to recall i had smartscreen off as well.

How much longer, Ops? The engine’s overheating and so am I. We either stand down or blow up. Which do you want?

**Quick Update**

DCS Support was very helpful and promptly answered my ticket.Andrey from support provided me with Super Carrier Batch files that can be installed outside of DCS Module Manager.

Unfortunately for me I was unable to run these files,I'm sure this was an error with following instructions on my part.

In The End,I ran out of Patience and decided to do a complete DCS World Open Beta re-install as I think my copy of Open Beta was very old and patched a multitude of times and might of became flawed.

After re-install all modules including Super Carrier installed without a problem this with my virus and firewall protection still active.

Thank You DCS for Your Prompt Support and trying to Help Me Out

OK< have done a complete re install. first thing I did was download the SC, which went OK.

Then, I changed only the graphics settings in options, to my normal ones and now, the sim is stuck on DCS world splash screen you get before the usual GUI....any ideas?

I recently moved my DCS folder from another drive, so perhaps that had something to do with why the SC would not download originally?

However, I now need to resolve the stuck at splash screen issue to see if my SC is indeed installed and working!!! Any ideas?
