Robes Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 (edited) Hello everyone. Has anyone done any AAR ( REVO is on Portuguese language) after the last update? I'm having a hard time getting fine adjustments to the throttle. The reaction time of the engine seems to have increased a lot, and as much as I try to anticipate the movements, I haven't been able to. This delay in the reaction occurs both in the acceleration and in the deceleration. I have also tried with the speed brake applied to increase the thrust vector. I have a lot of experience in REVO, both in the A10 and in the F-14, I know that each aircraft has its characteristics and therefore its "tricks". I would like to know if someone has been successful and if so, how is it proceeding. Thank you. Edited May 22, 2020 by Robes

paco2002 Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 What is REVO? I think he's speaking about Air To Air Refueling. (Still, I have no idea about the meaning of "REVO")
Robes Posted May 22, 2020 Author Posted May 22, 2020 What is REVO? I apologise immensely. The expression REVO is used in Portuguese. The correct one is AAR. Sorry again. Is it possible to change the title of the post?
Tiger-II Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 I flew some formation with a friend that last few days (he was in the F-18 ) and there was no isssue with station-keeping. I take this opportunity to say that I really like this aircraft! So I see that I will have to pratice a lot, because tank planes tend to fly relatively high and slow. kkk Salute!
Tiger-II Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 I actually tried AAR the other night, and yes, it is extremely sensitive to throttle inputs. Flying formation? Easy. AAR? I'm a n00b. I think the altitude of the tanker didn't help. I set it up at 8000 ft. I did figure a procedure though and can catch the drogue most times on the first attempt now.
