SuperKungFu Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I just can't imagine flying that huge aircraft with a small joystick. nice find. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Eagle Driver Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 It's just the cockpit. I'd imagine it would seem okay if the -380 had a sexy bubble canopy like that of an F-15 with appropriate avionics. It's just that big-bad jetliner cockpits don't usually go with joysticks historically, although I'm sure anyone who plays a lot of MSFS with an X52 is used to the stick-heavy combination. I would be more worried about my ability to have the stick on the LEFT and the throttles on the RIGHT, there's an adjustment for you. And the throttles don't even have radar controls, WTH? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] If you fly a perfect Defensive BFM and the bandit does a perfect Offensive... Someone you know is going to be recieving Insurance money very soon.
Grimes Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Is the glass thing in front of the left seat a HUD? Still an impressive feat of engineering. X-man Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Is the glass thing in front of the left seat a HUD? Yes! :) Many new airliners have them installed now: http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=1085183&size=L http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=0644889&size=L http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=0643156&size=L It's just that big-bad jetliner cockpits don't usually go with joysticks historically Well, Airbus has been using them now for 20 years in both narrow- and widebodies, and there's some 4000 of them flying around  64th Aggressor Squadron Discord: 64th Aggressor Squadron TS: 135.181.115.54
