Hi,

I have an issue with Joystick and Throttle. Yesterday everything worked fine, today it seems that all key bindings are lost. I reconfigured my complete HOTAS Setup. The configuration GUI works fine. Every axis and button is recognized.

But when I start a mission the keybindings are not used. When I am checking current keybindings inside the game my bindings are there but not working/used by DCS.

I have double checked if game mode and keybindings are made for the same mode. Yes, both I set for sim.

I already tried dcs_updater.exe repair, no change there

What can I do?

Attach your dcs.log file to look for more clues.

This keybindings problem happens only with the Hornet, or does it happen with other aircrafts too? .. in the log there are a lot if errors on the Hornet scripts, but you have already run a repair so it is a bit puzzling why the repair didn’t catch it.

Also, do you use Helios?

Yes, but I only own and fly the Hornet. But I can try with one of the stand aircraft modules.

Edit: I tried with one of the default aircraft. Same issue. Default keybindings seems to work, the newly set one (in game) not.

I have attache the logfile.

Not really. It is installed but as I understand Helios the Control Center must run to be used by DCS. It is not running.

I don't know if the infomation helps. Before the controls issue appeared the game started like it had never been configured before. All settings like graphics, resolution etc. were on default. I am pretty new to DCS and I thought this might happen after an update, so I didn't care and just reconfigured everything.

I saw it .. there is no glaring errors related to the keybindings, but I find it starnge that the TF-51 throws a similar error to the Hornet:

2020-05-28 11:59:48.194 ERROR EDCORE: Can't open file: /models/cockpit_tf-51d.edm.ilv.

Not really. It is installed but as I understand Helios the Control Center must run to be used by DCS. It is not running.

Actually, it does have an export script running:

2020-05-28 11:59:49.056 WARNING USERMOD: Helios Exports.Lua Loaded for FA-18C_hornet but TF-51D has been started

Since the "DCS_Updater Repair" didnt work, I assume that the problem lies at your saved games folder ... As a test, can you rename the folder "C:\Users\Sebastian\Saved Games\DCS" to DCS.bak ?

Then start DCS, it should create a default DCS folder at Saved games, you will have to configure its graphics and then try the TF-51 again .. can you now customize your controls keybinds?

Best regards,

Eduardo

Let's put this issue on solved for now.

After renaming the Saved Games folder it works fine for the Hornet.

I am just wondering why it decided to break from one day to the other without changing anything.

Thanks for your help Eduardo
