warthogmadman987 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I think the only thing that you can hope to do is convert it so it works in 3dsmax and go from there, I dont think ED has or will waste its resources making a maya to .lom converter.

You guys can always model in MAYA and export it to max tho.. or ask someone who use max for help integrating it.. CHola Posted February 9, 2008 Author Posted February 9, 2008 Yes, well that's shame, but I really hope they'll change their mind:-) Anyway, I'm pushing this because I've been bugging with FBX for the past (almost) three months. Tried every single version of FBX plugin for both MAYA and MAX, but they don't work as they should. I've encountered some vertex normals problems, which apparently belong to MAX, or FBX, I don't know and I admit I've hit the wall. So in absence of a better idea, I'm hoping that the guys in ED will eventually see the light and convert to MAYA, to our mutual satisfaction. In the meantime, I recommend a short trip into MEL scripting (just to get a hang of it) and write a MAYA exporter for which testing I'll be the first to gladly volunteer::--)) Thx, Cola Cheers, CHola
