ramtsi
Hi all. I'm still practicing basic stuff with the l39 and my hunger for multiplayer gameplay is getting bigger and bigger. A few things that are not so obvious to me are: 1. Comms: How to know which radio frequency I should tune in to via the cockpit radio? Cause' my birds radio has only pre selected frequencies (1-19). 2. If I have srs installed - will the program tune itself to that frequency? 3. How the hell am I suppose to know where all the action is? Will using rsbn is enough? or should I use ndb stations as well? 4. Any tips about getting familiar with caucasus map? Cheers. randomTOTEN
1. This should be mentioned in the Briefing that is displayed immediately before the mission begins. 2. It should, SRS is designed to be completely controlled with the aircraft's communication radios in DCS. 3. Make it a habit to read the Briefing.. this will also be extremely helpful in Multiplayer. 4. Instead of "getting familiar" with a map, do what real pilots do. Make a simple flight plan using visual landmarks, radio aids (any available), and simple dead reckoning (fly X heading for Y time). Plan from your starting base, to your target, then back to your base.
Sprool
4. Work your way through the various missions & training tasks built into DCS, you will soon become familiar with the area.
