fjacobsen Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 Some of the P-47D temperature issues might be related to the fact that ambient temperature cannot be set to anything else than 0°C on the Channel map !! But Oil pressure still takes very long to to drop, due to cold oil, even on the Normandy map with OAT: 20°C. | i7-10700K 3.8-5.1Ghz | 64GB RAM | RTX 4070 12GB | 1x1TB M.2. NVMe SSD | 1x2TB M.2. Enduro14 Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 interesting, was wondering why oil takes two moons to warm up Intel 8700k @5ghz, 32gb ram, 1080ti, Rift S
fjacobsen Posted June 4, 2020 Author Posted June 4, 2020 Well... Moving to the Normandy map with 20°C does not help that much on the slow oil pressure drop. | i7-10700K 3.8-5.1Ghz | 64GB RAM | RTX 4070 12GB | 1x1TB M.2. NVMe SSD | 1x2TB M.2. horseback Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 While the ambient temps are problematic, it will make taxiing and takeoff in the Spit Mk I and Hurricane much more convenient. Those birds overheated pretty quickly, especially in an English summer. Oh. Wait... cheers horseback [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]"Here's your new Mustangs boys--you can learn to fly 'em on the way to the target!" LTCOL Don Blakeslee, late February 1944
Eldur Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 This explains the carb temp sitting at 0° or less at least... Those birds overheated pretty quickly, especially in an English summer. Oh. Wait... cheers "oh and it never rains around here it just comes pouring down"
