Modern Eastern Bloc Soldier in WWII

maybe this should be posted somewhere else, but an admin can move it if they like.

I just bought and fired up the P47 in the pre-supplied mission in the Channel Map. The plane is at the airfield along with several others & whilst scrolling around next to a concrete bunker box is standing none other than a modern day Soviet style soldier complete with modern dpm, AK47 & helmet!!

WTF!! Surely, along with everything else ED have done to make this look authentic to the period they would have either noticed or altered or omitted putting such a glaring error - I mean there's even a period correct car driving in the background!

I understand that this is Early Access but still, come on. Let's hope this kind of thing gets corrected quickly as I'm not aware of any soviet soldiers being magically transported back to the 1940's to guard RAF airfields.

Don't flame me, it wasn't a cheap module and like many others, I've just dropped $80 odd dollars for the 2 modules along with the many other $$$ spent on other modules to enjoy DCS. I think I'm entitled to bring this to the fore.

I believe that's no mistake. It only means they made the mission in a way so it's compatible even with the remaining people not buying the WWII assets pack. If you own assets pack you can change that in ME and make your missions with period correct troops.

As ManOWar has talked, you riquire purchase WWII Assets Pack to use British, US and German Axis soldier. DCS core has not coming with WW2 units. The russian soldier has part of the core. WW2 "soviet" soldier can coming when ED turn to "east front" and will be added to WW2 AP.
