Moki Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 Hi all, I have been watching new tutorials for the F18 on Wag's channel and I was wondering if anyone had a button layout that he uses for HOTAS throttle and stick? Some of his videos he was flying through controls and I am like whelp back to the drawing board. Thanks
randomTOTEN Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 There's a depiction of the F/A-18C's HOTAS in the F/A-18C Early Access Guide. It's located within the module folder. That would be a better reference for you, as your controls probably aren't a perfect match for the real thing. When he talks about control inputs, he's referencing the aircraft inputs, not what he's doing with his desktop hardware to make that happen. As an example, he will often talk about moving the Sensor Control Switch, and there is a switch on the Thrustmaster Hornet Grip that would coincide with that switch... but the reality is that you can bind any HAT as the SCS... you would use whatever control you have personally bound as that input.
MAXsenna Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 I agree with Random. I always look in the manual and try to match the stick and throttle mappings as close as possible, with modifiers too, as I find it easier to remember from module to module. Cheers Sent from my ANE-LX1 using Tapatalk
