Wings weaker after update?

A group of us were running BFM practice tonight, 2 Tomcat / 2 Hornets per side. 3 Tomcats broke their wings performing maneuvers that have been fine to this point. Has something been changed affecting how weak the wings are now?

No, that's just an impression. Nothing has changed on the wings and nothing could make them weaker either.

The flap damage changes definitely screwed me up tonight. I was in the RIO seat and was mapping the flap lever on my Virpil throttle and went I went back to the pilot position, the flaps were down and I was going way too fast so the plane became very hard to control. Wings would not sweep with regular throttle control or emergency handle though I could still raise and lower the main flaps it appeared the inboard ones were stuck. Had the flaps warning light on and master caution, of course.

 

I aborted from en route to WP2 back to home and almost made it... Was in the process of landing and slowing down but probably still too hot since I lost control when I was slowing down (airbrake on, throttle to idle).... but yawed off the runway. Only lost one wing but ejected anyway. :o
