Hello guys, I'm kinda new to the game and this is my first post so wish me good luck!

I'm having the weirdest bug with my X-56 HOTAS. I'm a steam user and i'm using the F/A-18 and the persian gulf modes.

I was playing a mission on the Hornet, paused the game, minimized and start doing something else. After a while I unplugged the HOTAS, but the game was still open and paused.

Closed the game no problem. Next time I started the game, my stick worked just fine, but my throttle was all bugged, when i push the throttle the game takes it like i'm pulling or diving and rolling and the same time, in other words, the thrust became the stick

And, when i use one of the rotators to zoom in, instead of zooming it moves the rudder.

I cant get it to work correctly again.

The HOTAS work just fine, in fact, played Elite Dangerous with no problem, and this problen happends ONLY in the F/A-18 Module, if I use the SU-25 it works perfectly.

This is the list of everything I've tried with no result:

-Reassign every axis and button to his proper function.

-Cleared all HOTAS controls and reassigned them again.

-Reinstalled HOTAS drivers.

-Uninstalled drivers from device manager, and reinstalled.

-Check for file integrity in Steam.

-Deleted the F/A-18 module and redownloaded it

-Reinstall the game

-Uninstall the game and the HOTAS drivers using revouninstaller, deleting all registry entries and folders left behind, and reinstall drivers + game again.

The only thing that I haven't done yet is formatting and reinstalling windows, but I is my last option, seems kinda overkill, and i'm not really sure if it's gonna work anyway.

Anybody have any idea please?

Thank you very much for your time!

Have you checked if the HOTAS works properly on a different PC? Maybe the PC of one of your friends. If it's bugged there as well, i would contact Logitech support before i killswitch my whole system. And if it works you know at least, that the issue is not on the throttle side.

edit: Not sure if this file is deleted after deinstalling the Hornet module, but what you could also try is deleting your X-56 throttle.diff.lua file in C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\FA-18C_hornet\joystick and see if it works after DCS has created a new file. Don't forget to save a backup somewhere.

Thanks men, but it didn't work, I'll see if I can test the joystick in another computer, but again, when i'm flying the SU-25 it works flawless, so it has something to do with the F-18 module somehow i can't figure

Oh, i missed the part with the SU-25. Of course you are right, it's definately not your throttle but the Hornet module. Sorry for misleading you.

I think, in my experience, when you unplug the joy,and plug it again, for some reason it creates other joy name depending on the usb, like x56 blahblhablah {here are a string number that will be diiferent than the first one} .... Try to go to controls in the game, select the game, select the column for the yoy tha you are having issues and go to the load option, and try to find the file with the same name, but an older version, DCS vreates two or three....Clear the controls before of course and load the file wich has an old date...It should fix that
