AKA_Clutter Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 (edited) Hi, I am starting to setup of TARGET profile for my TM WARTHOG HOTAS and in doing so I have a question on the key commands in the file associated with the dogfight switch. Can someone expli9an the difference between the following commands. Most are not bound, but I would like to know the differences, so I know which ones I need to define. Thanks DOGFIGHT_Missile_Override_Switch_CENTER DOGFIGHT_Missile_Override_Switch_Cycle DOGFIGHT_Missile_Override_Switch_Cycle_Inboard DOGFIGHT_Missile_Override_Switch_Cycle_Outboard DOGFIGHT_Missile_Override_Switch_DOGFIGHT DOGFIGHT_Missile_Override_Switch_DOGFIGHT_CENTER (3 key) DOGFIGHT_Missile_Override_Switch_MISSILE_OVERRIDE DOGFIGHT_Missile_Override_Switch_MISSILE_OVERRIDE_CENTER (4 key) Edited July 14, 2020 by AKA_Clutter ---------------- AKA_Clutter Win 10 Pro, Intel i7 12700k @4.6 GHz, EVGA RTX 3080 FTW, Ultra 64 GB G.Skill DDR4 3600 RAM, Acer 27" flat screen, HP Reverb G2, TM Warthog HOTAS with Virpil warBRD base, MFG Rudder Pedals, Virpil TCS Rotor Base with AH-64Dcollective, TrackIR 5 Pro w/Vector Expansion, PointCTRL.
Odey Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 (edited) Look under the in game control setup. Find "special for joystick" try those. You should be able to use directX keys. You will not need to worry about the center command. Once dogfight or medium range missile is unselected it will return to the master mode you were in previously. Frederf Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 For simplicity of description I'm going to label the positions of the switch corresponding with MSL, NAV, and DGFT as "1" "2" and "3" respectively. The results are what happens on first and repeated pressing of the command. CENTER: sets "2" from any position Cycle: increases "1"->"2"->"3"->"1"... on an infinite increasing rotary Cycle Inboard: "3"->"2"->"1" and will remain at "1" Cycle Outboard: "1"->"2"->"3" and will remain at "3" DGFT: sets "3" from any position DGFT-CENTER: if "1" or "2"->"3" if "3"->"2" MSL: sets "1" from any position MSL-CENTER: if "2" or "3"->"1" if "1"->"2" In summary there are four groups of commands: MSL, CENTER, DGFT will set the switch to that position from any other. If the switch is already in that position no change will occur. Cycle, Cycle Outboard, Cycle Inboard will cycle the switch increasing with looping, increasing without looping, decreasing without looping respectively. DGFT-CENTER (MSL-CENTER) if the switch is not in DGFT (MSL) then DGFT (MSL) position is selected. If it already is in DGFT (MSL) position then CENTER is selected. Not listed in the first post but possible commands Special For Joystick, DOGFIGHT/CENTER (MISSILE OVERRIDE/CENTER) selects the DGFT (MSL) position when the input is pressed and CENTER when that input is released.
