I mean like hornet or tomcat ball in nimitz carrier? the last comunication with the ship seems to be the "signal is charlie" from tower is there any other command that I have to use before or when I am in the groove? Quadg Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Maverick has a good old video. the new Tarawa model has a ball so you can make an easier approach to the hover point. on the back of the island. should lead you to a 120ft hover next to the LHA. Lynnux Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 (edited) Sorry for the late answer. There is a nice training mission which I recommend to do at least once. I've played it in stable 2.5.5. There was some extended communication as well as explanation how to use and setup TACAN with offset point and bearing. E.g. the "loitering" is different compared to the F-18, that's also interesting and important to know. On multiplayer servers I mostly just have communication like landing on a land airbase, so this is not a good way to learn the basics. Edited July 28, 2020 by Lynnux
