Guys need some advice here. I am flying a mission and I have to face a SA-11....:(

 

2 F/A-18 is supposed to provide SEAD, in what I beleived was to finish the Radar and I'll do the rest with CBU-97.

 

The Sam group is composed of:

1 - BUK CC 9S470M1

1 - BUK SR 9S18M1

4 - BUK LN 91310M1

 

In my understanding the BUK CC was the radar that command the whole group, but seems that they are independent...is it correct?

here is the Tacview file, my plane is the A10 - Biga. As you can see at 07:56:39 the SAM group lost it radar range circle but the group still is firing missiles.

Sa-11 LN launchers has optical backups, and vehicle fire radars can use on short range.

not only optical backups, each TELAR has it's own huge radar dome, you can see it in the front

so even if you kill both the SR and the CC, TELARs still pose a threat
