Cockpit global illumination shadow bug

I've noticed since the latest stable update a couple days ago that all the shadows in the F-18 cockpit quickly change intensity when rotating relative to the position of the sun. It's like a white floodlight switches on and off but only affects the shadows.

I only see it in the F-18 cockpit and only when cockpit global illumination is turned on.

My GPU is Radeon 5700XT with latest stable drivers.

I am just impressed by the fact you can see you cockpit in shadows at all!

 

My cockpit is in perpetual night, and I need cockpit lighting all day.

 

If I raise gamma to see the cockpit like your video the view outside is hopelessly washed out.

This was reported earlier and moved to a general DCS bug, because it affects all modules with GI enabled.

I am having exactly the same problem with all the modules, cocpit ligthing is not even working, it has no effects on my side.

 

 

raising the gamma produce outside view too bright and washed out completely.:cry:

I can see a strange flicker effect in the shadow at the time you indicated. It may or may not be related to the existing longstanding shadow problems.

I have a low end system so I had Shadows set to Flat. Recenly I set Shadows to Low. Looks better but there is a lot of 'swimming' around the cockpit shadows being displayed. In particular along the edges.
