huchanronaa Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 (edited) Since I'm sure a lot of us here have the x52 pro or thrustmaster TWCS, is anyone else having a problem where their screen no longer turns off and the computer won't sleep if they're plugged in? Edited August 1, 2020 by huchanronaa
Sokol1_br Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 (edited) Interesting, generally happens the inverse, Windows turn OFF USB ports when go sleep - what can be disabled in power settings; and when wake-up give a new ID for controllers, and people complain about loose joystick settings. Perhaps in your case a fault potentiometer in Saitek (a common thing) are send continuous signals for computer, prevent Windows to sleep. Just a guess. Anyway have you checked in Power Setting's if sleep is not turned off? Edited August 2, 2020 by Sokol1_br
fitness88 Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Check your setting in device manager. https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=244029&stc=1&d=1596404273
Len62 Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 I've seen reports of this on other forums. Not specific to Saitek, I have the same issue with Virpil and VKB items I use. Thrustmaster has also come up from time to time. Seems to be related with the Windows 2004 update, at least that's when my problem started.
fitness88 Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 When I used the X-52 Pro my screen would not stay off for long after going screen saver or sleep. It was caused by constant button twitching. I tried dead bands wasn't practical. Then I got a power USB hub with on/off buttons...did the trick.
