below are 2 pics . after the screen loads ,i have to fiddle with my zoom, etc , to get a good view of my cockpit .

i would like to be able to have it look like the second pic .

i am running at 1680x1050 and the aspect ratio is 1.6 .

any help , would be greatly apprecitated .

Hi littlejohn,

 

I suggest you try plying around with LOCFG - Lockon GUI Configurator.

Go to Views -> Cockpit

Here you can change field of view and your height for each aricraft.

Also, increase Minimum field of view. This has the effect of "zoom out".

As for zoom itself, I'm not sure if such setting exist. I also have to zoom in or out depending on the aircraft I fly.

 

Hope that helps at least to some extent :)

TrackIR doesn't make any difference. That thread tells you where to adjust you default cockpit view.

Yes, and you can open it in notepad. I use a free program called notepad++ for these types of edits. It makes things a little easier at times.

 

I wish I could give you better instructions but when I adjusted mine it was pretty much trial and error.

 

Search the forums and you may find better instructions for editing that file.

CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29K] = {40.0, 110.0}

CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iA_10] = {20.0, 90.0}

CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iF_15] = {40.0, 105.0}

 

I use these values for zoom (when I fly I am zoomed out to see more of cockpit)... they are separate for each aircraft... try them and set angles to your liking.

Something is not right there littlejon... why do you have 3 values where it should be to. If you look at the line description it says "{view angle min, view angle max}" so there should be 2 values, not 3. Do you have FlamingCliffs version or original LockOn only?

 

Edit. to add mre to this, seems that values you are showing is from server.lua file and it's for panning head in cockpit and it's these values (note there are 3 value here)

i do have mods installed . ??

i am not sure what to do now. re install?
