runway cratering?

So the Jeff is the only plane in DCS with runway denial munitions.

 

Question is, do these actually work any different than conventional DCS munitions when it comes to runway denial in online scenarios. I.e. most craters are repaired in an hour. Does the damage from Jeff runway bombs persist any longer?

That’s must be a new thing, when they first came out I used them a lot and they worked very well. Your aircraft would be destroyed for sure going near the impact area.

That is not correct, Su-25,27,33 J-11 and MiG-29 also have anti runway bombs in form of the BetAB-500ShP wich is quit similar to the typ 200 anti runway bomb

Neat, never knew that. Do they work?

Yes, like the 200. But there is a version without Rocket Motor and parachut. When they hit the runway, they will leave a big creater texture. There is no real hole but you can "fall into it" and die

I believe the Mirage has some anti runway bombs also.
