imacken Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 (edited) Don't know it the manual is correct, but it says on p60 that the SCS Forward enters the HUD into ACM in NAV mode and a double press places in EMCOM. It also says that SCS Aft in A/A assigns the AMPCD SA page. Also, in NAV mode, it toggles the AMPCD between HSI, SLEW and SA pages. None of these things happen for me. Are these functions WIP? Jak525 Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Definitely shouldn't go into ACM from NAV mode. It should assign TDC to the HUD as it does now. In A/A, it should enter ACM which it also does. On the SA thing, yep, not yet implemented unfortunately. There is more, too - SCS right should bring up your Attack format (A/G in NAV or A/G, A/A in A/A), SCS left should bring up STORES, then AZ/EL, and then I think there's some logic to bringing up the FLIR format after AZ/EL in certain cases. ED said they'll be adding more HOTAS functionality, but who knows when. I wish they'd treat it as a general feature and not one specific to a given system necessarily. It's pretty essential to the overall aircraft operation honestly.

When in NAV mode, this enters the HUD into the ACM sub-mode and places the radar in boresight. When in A/A mode, this also places the HUD in the ACM sub-mode and radar in boresight. In all modes, a fast double press (less than one second two presses, will place the aircraft in EMCOM, and a second double press will take it out of EMCON.' All I'm saying is that doesn't happen. Usually, things that are WIP are marked as such in the manual. If it's WIP, then that's fine.
