Syria map skins

Hi,

 

I'm new to dcs,

I purchased Syria map, I want to know if there are skins that comes with the map, I didn't see any except for the default.

 

For example, In the trailer I saw the israeli air force skin.

it was late to the update it will be available with next patch maybe a hot patch this week. Alternatively you can add it yourself but only you will see it. When it releases with patch everyone can see it.

Hi Littlewing,

 

Welcome to DCS!

 

Skins in DCS are not bound to maps but to individual aircraft modules. The skins you saw in the trailer for the F-16 were supposed to go in the last Open Beta update but did not make it, I suppose they will be released with the next update.

 

If you are familiar with the Mission Editor, make sure you have set the right country for the aircraft skin you wish to fly. By default, the F-16C loads in as a USAF one. Obviously you can not select the Israeli skin for this. The F-16C has to be assigned to Israel before you can select the skin, when they eventually make it in to the game.

You could always check the user files for additional liveries. My friend BarTzi makes nice Israeli liveries for example ;-)
