Hi ,Pretty new to VR, and wondering if any one could advise at all please.

I have updated to latest version of DCS (2.5.6..) and also installed Kegety's shader mod in readiness.

My first observation is that when in sitting in the cockpit before even starting up, just looking around is quite jerky, is the cockpit frames and dials etc do not move smoothly in the view when moving my head around.

When trying free flight, the outside

visuals are not jerky and the frame rate is very acceptable. It literally seems to be the "looking around" that's stuttery.

Specs:

Oculus Rift

I5 9600k stock

GTX 1070

16gb ddr ram

Module is Spitfire MK IX.

I've got PD set at 1.5.

Appreciate any ideas?

In DCS Settings, you should try and select the VR preset and see if that gets you better performance as a starting point. You can then increase settings to see how far you can push the game details vs VR performance.

Starting out with VR is always a balancing act between the look you're used to on a monitor vs acceptable performance.

Reduce Pixel Density to around 1.2 for your rig.

No more than 2x MSAA.

Did you try it before installing the Mod?
