I just bought an Mi-8 collective lever (from a friend in UK).

Juergen from MicoHELIS is currently working on it in order to adapt the lever on one of his base.

I will use it as my collective lever for my new Mi-24P simpit!:smilewink:

I cant get the curve and the movement of the throttle to mimic a real collective.

Do not use any curves for cyclic or collective. Just keep them 0 in all. The collective just needs to be set as "linear" and likely "inverted" so that when you move throttle to full forward = collective down, full aft = collective up.

You need to as well have the mind of concept that your collective is about "going up" and "going down". And to help that, it is better if you can mount your collective sideways (and vertical if it is a linear (sliding) throttle). So you would have your throttle pointing downward.

Where did you get that black Collective Head from. It looks awesome. I built some button boxes and a custom wheel for racing about 12 yesrs ago. I was a ton of work but came out really good. Its now sitting in a box collecting dust because my rig is now used for flying. Also, what pipe did you use? It looks really good.

The head is a 3d Print, I have a whole build thread in this folder on it, the pipe is 20mm garden 'poly' pipe, to a 15mm pipe which has a motorcycle throttle handle over it.

My point was kind of that while you can put a shedload of effort into button boxes and 3d Printing, the Handbrake is actually a really good cheap solution if you are going to fly helicopters and I spent a lot of time during the build flying it with the pipe extension and no collective head so I can highly recommend that as a solution.

Looks fantastic

I personally use a real Westland Lynx collective mated to a Leo Bodnar board

What do you use to hold the collective up mr mojo97, a damper perhaps and if so what damper?

I need to start work on my Westland collective.... Its been in the to do Queue forever.

HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled.

DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!.

Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.
