Hard transfer from keyboard to joystick

Hi,

 

finally i got joystick Saitek Cyborg Evo, I plugged it, all is OK, I fly example Mig-29 or Su25T and when I move joystict forward (down) plane's nose gose down, OK, but when I let go stick to its neutral position (centered) plane's nose back to level. By this it is smpossible to aim ground targets...

 

On keyboard it somehow was otherwise when pressed cursor up (down) the nose went smoothly down and didn't back, so where is problem?

 

I heard we must all time trim it? So why not on keyboard?

 

Joistick in control panel is well centered and is precise.

You must trim all the time. Check axis lines in option/input also. They should be straight - not curved for Su-25(T). Remember there is no reset trim option in Froggers.

 

Other thing. Go to LockOn/config and edit joyrange.cfg. Default resolution for most of joysticks is 400. For Saitek precise flight controllers you should increase the resolution. Change the value to 1024 and save.

 

Question to You: You made all these TuAF rankings on keyboard?

My pitch and roll settings have straight lines with little deadzone (without it fewest stick moves did ee "dancing"). I did track and would u favour me and play it? On some moments u can see jumping and that is that. On keyboard it didn't be, it was smooth playing.

 

Also changed value from 400 to 1024.

Can't play it until I get back home from holidays unfortunately :(. Maybe You turned on autopilot, alt hold, panic button or something...?

Seems your joystick acts like a button input (not axis) so:

 

Check your in game Options/Input.

 

Choose controler you wish to edit in the device drop down list (Cyborg Evo), toggle the switch to axis and press test button. Make sure you select Axis1 for pitch and Axis0 for roll control. In test screen check the behaviour of those inputs.

Yes I checked again, all is correct, so why in Falcon or FSX I could play so smooth, in FC it is impossible. :(

Ehm, does Cyborg Evo has any utility used for programming, calibrating and creating profiles?!

 

Perhaps it overrides LO in game options!

 

The way you described your problem tells me that your joystick is generating keyboard inputs as control seems like flying thru keyboard (opposite button needed to center elevator and aileron).

Maybe You have another controller plugged in (gamepad or something) which has also asign axis in Lomac for roll and pitch?

Keyboard to Joystick? How long you flew by keyboard? don't torture yourself :D

One nice friend from HL told me that maybe game reinstalling will help. I try this, only save settings, missions, ect things.

 

I found that some guys also had this problem and they still have it...

 

@Vekkinho - yep I know, created profile, all was centered, setup also IMO was good and it was still problem.

 

@Poko24 - no I don't have, interesting is that in Falcon or FSX all is clear, only FC is strange.

 

@TorwaK - about from beginning - some years :D, but Iam so accustomed with this, especially on Su-25T that keyboard using is nice for me (all keys I have setted to have best comfort when I'm Shkval aiming) but I got for free Saitek so why don't use it in FC :D
