Adam Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Just wondering what the difference is, and what people have experienced? Improvement. Performance hits? Etc...

Frederf Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I believe "1024" updates the MFDs at half the frame rate and "1024 every frame" updates the MFDs at the full frame rate. E.g. if you're 60fps generally then you are choosing between 30fps MFDs or 60fps MFDs. Usually anything on the displays doesn't have to be buttery smooth to be usable so I set MFDs at the fractional update rate for the performance boost. On the other hand the quality of the rendering can be critical to usability. If 512 every frame and 1024 at half frame rate were equal performance I would pick the latter.
