Snacko Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 How do you get Official Support from WinWing? I can't find it an official support anywhere. I'm not looking for posting questions on the forums. I would like to directly get support from WinWing? Is that possible? This is what I am currently trying to figure out.. SimAppPro updated today. My Kaspersky Antivirus detected 'SimAppPro.exe' as a virus: Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Zload.qo. But I have posted questions on their facebook page and this and other forums which get no reply from the vendor? :joystick: Snack Officer Intel I9-10850K (OC @ 5.0ghz) │ 64GB (4x16GB) DDR4 3200 │Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24gb - ҉ - Blackshark Cockpit Trainer - ҉ - ♣ Thread | ♥ Download

Boogiesg Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 It's fine it's just a false positive. This post is not helping anybody FoxTwo I 2nd Snacko's Zloader hit using Kapersky online public submission. I submitted SIMAPPPRO.exe to their team for reanalysis. I do NOT have a premium account or subscription with Kapersky so I can do no more besides report back if/when they email me. Snacko, if you or anybody else reading this has a subscription or premium account or threat portal, whatever they call it. I think that this would be the time to use it. WinWing. Please be advised. Kaspersky Labs, one of the top multinational cyber threat research companies is claiming that your software has a malware payload. You need to contact them directly and sort this out. Hopefully your software team is just incompetent. https://opentip.kaspersky.com/843A14CB3BEE26DD0F381EC41D4CF812EA4CAEDBAFD30BD3899FCF2DDC0CAEAF/ https://opentip.kaspersky.com/?_ga=2.143810677.1383740513.1599167932-26208872.1599167932
Boogiesg Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Alright, so out of the 65 AV suites used on virustotal, Kapersky labs was the only 1 that detected this signature. I think this is indeed very likely a False positive. Here is the hash info for my copy of the executable that returned these results on virustotal. Just copy/paste the hash or upload the file. Since I brought it up in my previous post, I emailed Kapersky the above results, and hopefully they'll revise their database.
MustangSally Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 (edited) I use Kaspersky Internet Security and SimAppPro was not picked up as Trojan or any type of Virus. Oh and it's a false positive! FoxTwo Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 This post is not helping anybody FoxTwo It's literally the thing that I get paid to do on a daily basis, so when I say it's fine and it's just a false positive, that's a professional opinion. You can waste your time submitting it to kapersky if you want. 1
Snacko Posted September 7, 2020 Author Posted September 7, 2020 I submitted it to Kaspersky, Norton, and Microsoft and they all said the exe was a virus, but I also think it is a false positive. If I remember correctly, all of them also said they could not be specific about what the malware was designed to do. But that was from their automated online analysis bots. I have added it as a trusted app. And, I have an offline backup of my system.
